Great place to eat "We were visiting relatives in the area and borrowed a car to just go out exploring the area on our own off the beaten path. We stumbled upon this place and loved everything about it. The food, service, prices, and the country store were all great. When we told our relatives about it they said it was one of their favorites, too. They said it gets very busy at times though. I would say it would be worth the wait."

"We went to this delightful restaurant Friday night April 11/08. Showed up about 630 pm. to a bit of a lineup. I was hungry and didn't want to wait the 30 mins we were told we would have to wait. Well I'm glad we waited. The service was fast and excellent. The surroundings were awesome and we thought well thought out. The food (the rib and spaghetti special$20.00) was excellent. I couldn't eat it all. The waitress checked by regularly, and we were delighted by the entire evening. The food portions are great value for the money, and delicious. My compliments to the chefs, the staff, and to the owners. You have worked hard to make a great out of the way restaurant. I will drive from Beacon Hill park area again to eat here. Thanks."

"We've been to the Metchosin area twice (stayed at Amore by the Sea), and we've never ventured anywhere else for supper. We find everything about the restaurant very pleasing. The food is excellent, service excellent and atmosphere excellent! Even though the line up looks to be long and they tell you that you will have a 45-minute wait, we've found that they underpromise and over deliver!! We've never waited that long. I would recommend it to anyone!! Kudos!"

"I've enjoyed dinner at the My-Chosen on three occasions with my family and each time the food was great and the service was perfect. The menu is huge, the food is fresh, tasty and well presented and the portions are huge. The price is excellent making the My-Chosen great value for the money"

"No Reservations Taken, but worth the 25 minute wait We were disappointed to learn by our B&B hosts that this nearby restaurant did not take reservations but because our hosts said it would be worth the wait we decided to give it a try. We waited about 25 minutes before being seated however once seated the service was outstanding and the food wonderful. Large servings for a great price. We like the decor. The Country setting and the craft store that is also located there. We enjoyed the local area very much and when we return on our next visit, we will also be returning to My- Chosen Cafe. They go hand in hand with great customer service!"

"This place is very good. At the corner of Happy Valley and Metchosin roads, it is quite out of the way and a place I often forget about but shouldn't. It is always busy which is a sign of its popularity. Not sure if you can reserve or not. Very nice rustic decor. Ribs are very tasty, garlic mashed potatoes soooo good. Great burgers too. Has a nice little shop attached to the restaurant with arts and crafts to go through while waiting for a table. Definitely well worth the drive out."
